RV Water Systems, Pumps & Plumbing Repair
Water problems in an RV rarely stay small. A weeping fitting behind a wall can lead to soft flooring, and a pump that cycles all night is usually telling you something is wrong elsewhere in the system.
Mon–Fri · 7AM–7PM
An RV fresh water system is a pump, a fresh tank, a city water inlet, a run of lines with fittings, and the fixtures at the end of it. It also has to hold up to road vibration and seasonal freezing, which is why RV plumbing can fail in ways house plumbing doesn't — fittings work loose, lines chafe where they pass a frame member, and freeze damage can open up under pressure the following spring.
Diagnosis generally starts with pressure behavior. A pump that won't build pressure, one that cycles when nothing is running, or a system that loses pressure overnight can each point to a different cause. The goal is finding the actual leak or failed component rather than assuming the pump is at fault because it's the noisy part.
This category covers water pump diagnosis and repair, line and fitting repair, faucet and fixture work, and toilet repair, replacement and sales.

Questions
Water Systems & Plumbing FAQs
Why does my RV water pump keep running when no faucet is on?
The system isn't holding pressure. That can mean a leak somewhere in the lines or fixtures, or an issue with the pump itself. Diagnosis works to determine which, so a healthy pump isn't replaced unnecessarily.
Can you find a leak I can't see?
In accessible areas, generally yes — the system is checked and traced toward the likely failure point. Leaks inside sealed walls or the underbelly may require access work, which is discussed with you before it starts.
Do you replace RV toilets?
Yes. Toilet sales and replacement are available. Black tank service, sewage work and odor complaints are not services Fixin Trips provides.
My lines were damaged over the winter. Can that be fixed onsite?
Often, yes, when the damage is in an accessible line or fitting. Winterizing the following fall is the way to help avoid a repeat.
