Central Oregon gets cold early and stays cold late. A propane furnace that ignites unreliably in October is a furnace that can fail outright in January, sometimes in the middle of the night in the Bend or Redmond high desert cold. Fixin Trips treats furnace and heater repair as a year-round priority rather than a winter add-on.

RV furnaces are a chain of interlocked parts: thermostat, control board, blower motor, sail switch, limit switch, igniter, gas valve and propane supply. When any single link is off, the furnace does something confusing — clicks and quits, blows cold, cycles on and off, or runs the fan without ever lighting. Guessing at that chain can get expensive fast. Diagnosis generally works through that sequence in order to find the component that's actually failing.

Because furnace and heater parts are the most-stocked category on the truck, plus quick access to more, many issues can often be resolved quickly and often on the same visit.

Questions

Furnace Repair FAQs

Why does my RV furnace blow cold air but never light?

It usually means the ignition sequence is being interrupted — commonly a sail switch, a limit switch, the blower, the control board or a propane supply issue. The fix depends on which part of the sequence is failing, which is what diagnosis works to identify.

Can furnace problems often be resolved in one visit?

Often, yes. Furnace and heater parts are the most heavily stocked category on the service vehicle, plus quick access to more, so many issues can often be resolved quickly and often on the same visit.

Do you repair furnaces in winter?

Yes. Fixin Trips is open year-round, and furnace and heater work is a top priority through the cold months.

My furnace runs but the RV never warms up. Is that a furnace problem?

Sometimes. It can also be duct routing, a blocked or disconnected duct, a return-air issue or an undersized system for the temperature. Diagnosis generally checks airflow at the vents rather than assuming the furnace itself is at fault.
